How we check facts
Every figure on this site has a source, and every source is linked on the page that uses it. Here is what we use, in order of preference, and what we do when sources disagree.
Game figures
- The provider's own game page or game sheet (for example, the PDF fact sheets some studios publish). This is the source for RTP, volatility, maximum win, layout and release date wherever it exists.
- The provider's demo game and rules screen, where the public page is thin.
- The provider's launch announcement, for release dates.
- Other published sources, only where the provider publishes nothing, and always labelled.
Each game page carries a grade. Today the library has 35 games graded official (every figure from the provider), 19 mostly official, and 6 secondary (the provider publishes nothing publicly). Download the lot as CSV.
When sources disagree
We do not pick the more exciting number. If a provider's own page contradicts itself (one of NetEnt's pages gives two different maximum wins for the same game) we publish neither, and say why. If a provider publishes several RTP versions, we list all of them, because the casino chooses which one you play.
Rules and regulation
From the Gambling Commission's own guidance and public register, gov.uk and legislation.gov.uk. Every rule page shows the date the rule took effect and links to the source. Where something is still being decided, the page says so.
Licences
Provider and operator licence details come from the Gambling Commission public register, checked on the date shown. For any casino we link to, we also check that its exact domain is listed on its register entry.
Corrections
Providers revise games and rules change. If you find something wrong or out of date, email hello@slotsgames.co.uk with the page and your source. We recheck and update the page, and change its date.
