Wild

A symbol that stands in for other symbols to complete wins, usually except scatters and bonus symbols.

A wild is a symbol that substitutes for other paying symbols to help form a win. Land four cherries and a wild on a line, and the game counts it as five cherries.

Wilds usually do not replace scatters or bonus symbols, so they cannot trigger features on their own; the paytable says exactly what they cover. Some wilds pay as a symbol in their own right, some appear only on certain reels, and some carry a multiplier that boosts any win they complete.

Many features are wilds with extra behaviour:

Wilds make wins more frequent when they appear, but they are counted in the game's maths, so they do not raise the RTP beyond what is published.
