How Infectious 5 xWays plays
xWays symbols reveal one symbol and hold 2 or 3 of it, expanding the reel. With a wild also on screen, they become Infectious xWays, which grow every matching symbol on that reel to the same size. Three or four bonus symbols give a choice of Toxic Hazard (9 or 10 spins, 1-5 random wilds on the middle reels each spin) or Lock n' Load (7 or 8 spins, wilds stick and may carry x2 or x3). Five bonus symbols, or collecting five in free spins, give Mayhem Mode.
Theme: Supervillains, toxic hazard. Filed under Horror and dark.
Features in this game
- xWays: A Nolimit City mechanic where special symbols reveal several copies of one symbol, multiplying the number of ways to win on that spin.
- Sticky wilds: A wild that stays in place for more than one spin, usually through a respin sequence or a whole free spins round.
- Multipliers: A value such as ×2 or ×10 applied to a win, a spin or a whole feature, multiplying the amount paid.
- Mystery symbols: Blank or question-mark symbols that all reveal the same randomly chosen symbol after the reels stop.
- Free spins: A bonus round of spins played at no extra cost, usually triggered by scatter symbols and often with extra features.
What the figures mean
An RTP of 96.02% is a long-run average across millions of spins. It works out at a house edge of 3.98%, so every £100 staked costs £3.98 on average. A session of 200 spins at £1 stakes £200, and the expected cost of that session is £7.96, although the real result will usually land a long way either side. Work out your own figures.
The provider rates volatility as Extreme (10). That describes how winnings are spread: higher volatility means longer runs with little back and rarer, larger wins. It does not change the average. More on volatility, or see it in a simulation.
Published hit frequency is 31.34%, meaning roughly 31 spins in every 100 return something. Many of those returns are smaller than the stake.
