What will it cost?
Every slot keeps a share of what you stake. The share is the house edge, and it is 100% minus the RTP. Enter your numbers to see what that adds up to.
Total staked: £600.00
Expected cost:
£24.00
That is the average across a very large number of sessions. Your result in one session will differ, often by a lot.
Questions people ask
How do you calculate the cost of playing slots?
Multiply your stake by the number of spins to get the total staked, then multiply that by the house edge (100% minus the RTP). At £1 a spin, 600 spins an hour and 96% RTP, that is £600 × 4% = £24 an hour on average.
How many spins an hour is possible on an online slot?
In Great Britain each spin must last at least 2.5 seconds, so the ceiling is 1,440 spins an hour. Real play is usually slower because of features and pauses.
Will I lose exactly this much?
No. This is the long-run average. In one session you could lose much more or win; the higher the volatility, the wider the range.
