The rule
Bonus wagering requirements are capped at 10 times the bonus amount, and a single promotion may not mix product types (for example betting plus slots, or casino plus bingo). Social responsibility code 5.1.1 on rewards and bonuses was rewritten for clarity.
Who it applies to
All Gambling Commission licensees offering incentives to British consumers
What it means for you
- A £10 bonus can require at most £100 of wagering before it turns into withdrawable money. Before 2026, 35× or more was common.
- An offer can no longer say "bet on football to unlock casino spins": one promotion, one product.
- Other terms still matter: game weighting, maximum bet while wagering, and expiry dates. How bonuses work.
