Stake limits are the legal maximum bets per spin on online slots in Great Britain. Players aged 25 and over can stake up to £5 a spin from 9 April 2025, and players aged 18 to 24 up to £2 a spin from 21 May 2025.
The limit applies per game cycle, and extra stakes taken inside a feature count towards it, so a game cannot get round the cap with in-feature purchases or side bets. Operators use the age checks they already carry out to apply the right limit.
